Re: Keep yer boat in a standard garage? (WB)

It will be nice to free up the area in my current shop where the boat usually sleeps. Be able to work on chit or we can go out there and open the bar , fry fish or whatever and won't have to move the boat and pickup out the way. Already have SATV and a stereo out there.

    no

but we're porch sitters and our back porch is on the North side of the house so no good breeze in the summertime. Shop get's good flow with both them doors open. But you are right, we have many nights where you really can't stand to sit outside.

sounds like a right fine boat cave there Troy, when it comes time to break it in give me a call & we'll come over with the required "break in liquids"

Troy, I built a 20X30 wood frame and wrapped it in metal 2 years ago for $4K. I have a 8' garage door and i get the boat in and out no problem. I had priced some buildings from Mueller and Metal Depot and after they gave me the price and I told them that they were smoking crack i decided to do the wood frame.
Framed it just like you would do a house and wrapped that bad boy up. Came out very nice for half the price.

Corky, my dad has one of those metal carports that we sided up and put a rollup door on.It's got a 12 ft wide by 9ft high roll up door.I leave mine in it when we're at the lake.Mine clears with no probloems....I think a power pole mite clear.
