One of the biggest concerns for us when we replaced our dishwasher was noise level. We settled on a maytag. It had all the features my wife wanted, and was a little cheaper then the Whirlpool that was the same. We've had it for about 6 months, and so far no issues out of it, and our dishes come out clean.

    Haha, yes it has.

I have both Bosch and Kitchen Aid.

I like the Kitchen Aid better.
They both will do a fine job.

I agree! Our LG also sucks. Just out of warranty, it suffered the "won't start with a push of the Start button unless we close the door while pulling up and simultaneously hit Start" syndrome.
Plus, it doesn't dry the dishes unless you let them sit in there for 10-12 hours.

We had a GE that is 20 years old and was still working when we replaced it with another GE. I really doubt this one last as long. We only got a new one, because of buying a new fridge and so had to buy everything new, so it all would match.

We have a Bosch as well. Quality is certainly good but personally I hate the racks. My wife likes them though.

Don't have one but I've heard Bosh is a bitch to get worked on. They are very proprietary? Again I know a guy who wife's dogs daughters niece told me this!

Our Whirlpool is soooo much more quiet than the old one! Sometimes I hear a noise and takes me a minute to figure out it's running.

We bought a new Maytag along with other new appliances a year ago and it's been great. You literally can't hear it's running unless you are right next to it and it cleans great!

Gotta go with the Bosch....going on 10 years and is just as efficient now as it was the first day we used it.

Whirlpool, Maytag or KitchenAid, all owned by Whirlpool and way ahead of all the others. Stay away from GE, they are now Korean, Bosch has great reviews but if they break down they may be hard to get parts and service.
Most dishwashers are pretty reliable these days. I've always had KitchenAid, until the current one which is a Maytag.

BTW, get a Stainless Steel tub.

Our 25 year old Kitchenaid is working fine, quite and dishes come out clean, but to be honest, we rarely use it because I do all the dishwashing for both of us.
