Unfortunately all fish will be fried within a 30 ft radius of his boat, but it will look cool

Since he is a Ranger Guy he is probably not concerned about speed.

He might as well go ahead and get 7 as someone else will get 6 just for the publicity.

That extra 21lbs might just sink it.

Why does anyone care how many graphs or transducers or rods that a pro has on his boat?

It personally hurts them in some way. It's a travesty on their soul.

Gotta be more than 21lbs And makes a significant difference when the weight is on the nose. I'm sure he couldn't care less about speed though.

You aren't going to use the Saltwater ducer and 34 at the same time. Could have eliminated one graph by using the same 16" for both of those.

A graph is like 5lbs or so. Throw in hardware and mounts and you are gonna be at 20-25lbs. It's a non factor but of course the more hyperbolic and knee jerk someone can make it sound the better I guess.

why don't they install an 85 inch flat screen and run 12 different windows on the screen and be done with all the clutter.

Thats the part that makes zero sense to me. Run a 16 for the saltwater / 34, run a 12 for mapping / 2d, and another 12 for perspective. The two extra graphs seem like such a headache for very minimal benefit. If he can make it work good for him though

Nobody cares. It is what you call conversation.
    That's all.

You absolutely need both for pin pointing big smallmouth in Northern tournament waters. The difference of presenting a bait by as little as 3 feet off a target for a 5+ lb smallmouth would open your eyes, especially in current!(river and Great Lakes)

a separate graph wont help with that imo. i can be just as accurate with a split screen of mapping as you can with a whole screen of mapping

But I thought people are able to consistently snag bass at will with FFS to the point it could be called sight fishing but now you are saying they might be off by a couple of feet in their presentation?

Props to him if he really does run that setup and gets it to work for him.

On a side note, I do think a little regulation on this would be fine. I mean you can't run a jaguar with a 500 or a jet boat in the elites, so its not like we don't have some equipment restrictions. I have a hard time seeing how 5 giant graphs up front wont affect visibility in some way. I think 1 or 2 FFS transducers and 48" of total screen allowed in the boat would be a totally reasonable solution.
    No Trolling involved.
16" Saltwater LS version on Tmotor to see fish WAY out front of boat
16" Standard FFS LS version also on Tmotor for casting to fish
12" Standard LS in PERSPECTIVE also on Tmotor
12" for 2d in or on Tmotor
12" mapping on bow for PRECISE boat positioning while casting to specific structure

I never once said you could snag fish using LS. However I have said the info you get from LS is no different than LOOKING at a bedding fish to see how it reacts to your lure choice. color. and actions.

SO IF PEOPLE WANT TO BAN FFS, THEY SHOULD ALSO BAN SITE FISHING FOR BEDDING BASS.
As you know some are better than others AT BOTH METHODS of catching bass!
