Thanks for the info, that helps! I think I might put a steel bar through the eye on the front and lift my my engine hoist. As for the rear I was thinking about steel to go through the motor mount holes and hang it some how. Hmm I dunno, lol

Looks like you are getting very close to finishing it up. Are you using the 70 hp motor or going with something else?
I have a 200 Merc efi to hang on it
Trailer looks awesome! Did they Line-X the Bass Cat logo or is that a decal?

Just a decal that BCB uses, it has a aluminum back to the logo.
Amazing!!! It looks fantastic!! The trailer is better than new. Excellent color combo.

Wow! That boat looks great!

I'll add a comment other than it's great etc.
I hope you will do the same. The only opinions I get come from a guy who has never fished out of a bassboat, and only been in one a couple times. And is an engineer for sport/deck boats...
I would have lost the chrome grab handles. The boat with the color scheme you have applied, looks like a boat from today. That's good. But the grab handles add a certain 80's look that doesn't go with the modern appearance of the boat.
If one of the clear acrylic handles that BCB uses now could be used that might look more modern.
I REALLY like the black bottom. It contrasts nice with the rest of the boat.
Did you build any kind of deck extension? Incorporate any storage? (I'll have to go back and double check all that)
Also where did you buy your rubrail?
Looks excellent. I hope mine turns out as nice.

Got the boat back on the trailer, hope to have a mercury hanging off of it by the weekend.
Anyway here are some pics, putting carpet on lids now.

Who is going to do all the wiring. Thats got to be the really tough part. Looks good so far. Can't wait to get my trailer done. My neighbor is going to do it, he owns the Line-X shop here. Like the Line-X on the fender steps too. Are your bunks regular wood or salt treated and did you glue the tops or staple it.
Boat looks AWESOME! Just like you rolled it off the showroom floor.

Awesome job Can't wait to see the finished product. Looks better than new
Yea, I thought about using a different grab handle but I seen a post were a guy cut the grab handle down from the original length and it looked good. There will be a lot more chrome to put on the rest of the boat so it should even it out. And I like chrome
As far as the deck extension and going with a modern look my company logo is yellow and black and I have a 07 Z21 Ranger with all the bell and whistles that I fish out of. This project started as a boat just to fish BCB TX and turned into "well if you gonna do that then this needs to be done" etc.
I will let all who help me and any body that I fish TX with use this boat as a back-up
Thanks for the comments and keep them coming
I will also do the wiring I have the new BCB touch pad that will make the wiring a breeze. All new smartcraft gauges will help on the motor side.
Bunks are treated and I just stapled it on the bottoms. I had a 89 Astro that I replaced the bunks and carpet the same and never had any issues with it coming loose.
I have had some friends that would resin all the boards before sticking carpet, I am just too lazy and hell treated has like a 20 life.

There's no way a man spends all that time restoring a boat then turns around and says he's lazy YOU MY FRIEND ARE NOT LAZY. Keep the pics coming and the good work.
That thing looks awesome!!
o.k. Frank , Im sending my 86 Pantera to you. wanna trade?
