    So I just got my navionics plus card today. Plugged it picked the navionics plus icon to begin downloaded some file and for the past hour it's just sitting at processing...it may take a few moments. I haven't even got to registering it yet. Wtf? Is this normal?

    What is going on is there are two software programs trying to download so you can install them.
    One is Chartinstaller, that is the software that is your link to the Navionics server to do updates.
    The other is Navservice which is a automatic card detection software that detects you have inserted your map card in the computer and it will open the Chartinstaller software.

    What you are experiencing is communication issues due to your internet connection and/or internet software.
    Try another internet search engine such as Mozilla, Google Chrome, IE 9

    Some have issues with the current IE and some have issues with file sizes using AOL.

    It's still processing and I'm using mozilla already

    it downloaded the nav service or whatever to my pc. The whole calming seas loading thing then after that it just sits at processing. I started to retry the process all over and I'm getting the same results

    Just bought the Navionics Update card from BPS. All I get from the site is "Oops! There seems to be a snag. Please try again later or start over." Called support. They tried a few things. Does not work. Waiting.........

    Navaervice and chartinstaller are installed on my home screen but for hours after I hit the downloads and updates link it just sits at processing....it may take a few moments. I have not even reached the point to register the card let alone do anything else.

    I sent a email to support. I was hoping this was a easy process as I was needing the card for tomorrow to fish a lake I never been to before.

    Went back online and my updates card activated. Seems that support could have told me that they were having website issues instead of starting a case file as if there as an issue with my card or computer. Anyway, all seems fine now.

    Still nothing working here. Tried 2 other computers just to be sure.

    tried going first from navionics website and even starting right from chartinstaller and same crap either way.

    That did not work for me either. Did you try clearing your browser history? Worth a shot.

    I have a couple of questions about cards and shading. I have a T12 and 2 HDS 10 gen 2. Both have the 2.0 upgrade( the shading one) .
    1. Is there different shading on the navionics premimun card verses the Platimun? mostly colors
    2. Will the Fish-N-Chip feature work on both units with the 2.0 upgrade. I do not have the 2.5 Upgrade.
    3. The cards that I have now were the ones that could be updated but I never have. Will this effect shading other than contours changing.

    With Gen2 you don't need 2 cards. On each of the unit in the map menu you choose Navionics

    anyone know whats going on or can get me through to the right people. I think i got a bad card cause i still have not been able to register my card to start using it. Even if i dont even plug the card into my pc it does all the same crap. installs naviservice then just sits at the processing screen. i've tried to register the card on 3 different computers with nthe same result each time allowing for a hour of more of the bs processing screen. I even tried doing it saying i dont know the product i have. When that happens it ditects me to install chartinstaller then im right back at square one installing naviservices then sitting on the processing page. im extremely feed up with the whole process.

    FYI i bought the card monday from tacklewarehouse and tried using it entering into the SD slot on the pc and also using it with the adapter and yes the card is unlocked.

    I started mine this morning at 8 came home from fishing at 5 and was still on the processing screen. Yesterday I tried numerous times over an hour each of the same

    Jason have you tried calling customer support to help get your issue resolved? I've never heard of an issue such as yours which makes me think it's most likely an easy fix.

    IM me all your appropriate information and I'll forward you onto someone who can give you one on one help to resolve your issue and get you back on the water. I assure you it's an easy process done correctly and of course barring some sort of card malfunction. Pint generally the case but wil anything software/electronic related, it's always a possibility.

    one thing you can always try is to see if the housing itself is bad. If so, simply borrow another housing from another Micro SD card and see if the system will detect the card. In my experience with any SD cards, if there's something that malfunctions is usually the housing.

    1. Shading should be the same between the cards.
    2. FishnChip became available on the Lowrance 2.0 Update.
    3. Updating cards should have no effect on shading options.
    4. No, as long as you are networked, have the Lowrance 2.0 Update and set it to the appropriate setting, you only need one Navionics card.
    5. Depending on when you're old card is from, there is the possibility that you were looking at a card that had contracted data or was seen as not entirely accurate and so wasn't included on the newer data. This is extremely rare but is possible. More likely that there is currently some SonarCharts being added to the lake and roadbeds have yet to be updated on the developing map.
    6. Depth Offset is not yet available for use on Navionics cards viewed through Lowrance chart plotters however Navionics does have thus feature via their app.

    I followed that vid to a T after the whole loading and calming seas stuff it just sits at processing every time. Ill pull my insight hd card and try that housing.
