I'd call. The person I talked to tried a couple things with my situation and we couldn't get nothing going. As a result it went to IT early Friday. I'm waiting to hear something from IT. The more people maybe a quicker turnaround.

This may be a silly question but here goes. I have a hds 8 with insights USA , I like that the map shows the main channel in a bright blue line but do not like that it doesn't have many contour lines. I've been looking at new maps and not impressed that they do not show distinct channel lines but many contours . My question, is there a current map that shows the bright blue channel and 1foot contour lines ?btw my main lake is green river lake in central ky.

Just wanted to give a thanks to the mods and the Navionics people who helped me resolve my issues with my card. One of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had. From emails to techs everyone I dealt with were professional and patient. Keep up the great work Navionics !
As Wallyandre stated, whenever anyone is curious of what they'll get when purchasing a Navionics card, instead of viewing a list and hoping for the best, Navionics displays their maps for the world to see by simply viewing their WebApp located on the Navionics website. http://www.navionics.com/en/webappOne thing to consider, when viewing a map, zoom in and click the small circular icon on the bottom left, this is the SonarCharts layer and with the early popularity of SonarCharts, there is some pretty impressive new maps coming out daily. If the circular button is highlighted blue, you're looking at the SonarChart layer. Examples of wdman1183's lake below.

Should the Hotmaps Platinum show satellite imagery for all the area covered by the card? I have the South card and it only shows satellite imagery in certain areas, so I'm kinda disappointed. If you look at it on the web app in "hybrid" it has the satellite imagery covering everything. Thanks
I think it's just for some area; up here in Canada there isn't much in 3D
to find out you need to look at the list and everything in 3D is identified

Just tried to get on the nav. site and it said they were down for maint. Did you hear from IT? I called in and they sent my info to IT also.
I just figured there would be satellite overlay for that whole region covered by the card, not just high def lakes. Never saw anywheres that it said the satellite photo was just relevant to these.
They sent me a email today. Some of my issue is now fixed. They had me delete all my java files and reels load java. That worked but now I'm on step 3 of the registration process where a map loads and you pick your global region. Well mine doesn't allow me any choices. The map shows but the region is not outlined and on the left side of the map it should say USA and Canada but it's just blank. So I'm still empty handed. Hopefully tomorrow IT gets back to me and we can get this right. So far navionics help has been A+

A+ to the navionics team. They got me fixed up this morning even though it was outside of their business hours. All I can take from it is they had a issue on their end that they resolved and I downloaded my first lakes. Now to go fishing.

Sounds great. maybe they will get with me today. Jason does the downloads on the disk cause the FISHnChip to become usable. It shows on my units but is shaded and you cannot not mark.
Have not put the card into my hds yet. Will do that later today when I get back home and see what happens. When you select the bodies of water you want and load them up that should allow the fishnchips to show on your units the sonarcharts

ARK - yes the updates make the fish n' chip useable, also be sure you have a SonarChart capable card that is in date.
To add hat josh said when you select navionics as your chip you need to go under views and the fishnchips will show as a option select that and your golden. I love it.

Just got an email saying they have upgraded the site. They want me to download again and try. Hope it works. My card shows it has 3.5 GB on it(only says it will hold 2) and it will not let me do anything. My HDS units will not read it also. Will try tonight and see what happens when I get home. Card is at home on my personal PC.
Mine was saying that as well. After their fix all was good
