Well said! If some of you have to make everything political you must be leading an extremely sad life!

Cant argue the op away from the Subaru. Great cars for sure. My boss has one and came down from a BMW 7 series and he loves his. Wife has the Benz C300 and loves it. 105k miles and pretty much routine maintenance other than motor mounts around 80k.

My wife got a 19' WRX STi a few months ago (no trunk wing) and she loves it. AWD is pretty impressive and that little turbo makes almost 17lbs of boost. Runs good and fun to drive. Gas milage isn't great with the Sti but we didn't buy it for that.

Let her drive a new Honda Accord with the 2.0 turbo. Put it in sport mode and hang on. Low in torque is un real.

Make sure she test drives a Honda as well. Then make a decision on Subaru or Honda.

Those things have hurt some so called "sports cars" feelings.

    Yep official Libtard vehicle ---

my girlfriend has a Subaru Forester, its a really nice car and I like it. We are outdoorsy people and they design car with those kind of folks in mind. I just drove it to Kansas City and back and I was impressed

It is much better than the official repubtard vehicle.. a beat up pickup with 4 different color of paint on it that looks like it could die at any second
I must be confused then because I've got an '03 Forester and an '04 F250 (no different color paint but a ton of rust). Both are going strong...

For the OP, IMO you can't go wrong with a Subaru. Reliable and safe. Newer ones are a little better appointed than mine.

Subaru =. Great company, quality built vehicles that perform and last, plus resale/trade is much better than anything the big 3 can produce.

Toyota is a sister company of Subaru and owns 16% of the parent company Fuji so reliability isn’t an issue but they aren’t the most comfortable cars. Definitely the best vehicle for the outdoors type person and they know it, that’s why so many people who hike, bike, camp etc have one and has such a strong following. I’d love to have one but the gas mileage would kill me.

Looks like some of you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, Subs are a good little car, but when we were out test driving them 2 years back they seemed uncomfortable to us, and some research showed they had head gasket trouble, but I think that's been resolved. we ended up with a Ford Escape, It's the wife's car and she loves it, No problems with ours, and she gets 27-30 mpg on highway during summer driving with the 2.0 ecoboost. for a small car it really will go through snow and traction is not a problem. but there's many manufacturers of this size car, I say try them all and see what you like.

The only reason we went new is because there was not very much price difference in new and 2 yr old with low miles. They seem to hold their value well.

Once I got past the image issue, the Volvo XC70's i have owned have been unreal cars for us. We have 2 that have been passed on to my boys. Handing a wagon to a boy is kind of like naming them Sue, gotta get tough quick. Character builder. But they can head out on a lake ice fishing in it and still run it hard in comfort on the highway.

We had a Legacy and it was a great car. We currently are driving a Crosstrek and we really like it. The Legacy was more fun to drive but the Crosstrek gets a lot better mpg.

Got a 17 Outback Limited. Currently 67,000 trouble free miles. One set of tires and regular oil changes has been it. Wife drives it daily and loves it.
