I have a 1977 Ranger 175A with a Mercury 150. I got it so I could start fishing with my son in law who has developed an interest in fishing. I think it is a great boat and am really enjoying it.

Hi Tim, you should recognize it! The Opti has been great, haven't had a single problem with it. My biggest problem is getting time to use it. I really do like the gas mileage now that the prices have gone up - I really don't miss my old 'Rude in that regard.

Saw your post above about speed. I talked to Ranger about speed of my 185/150 John and they said adding a 6" plate would increase speed 2-4 mph. Max I could expect would be 58-59. Don't know how this would compare with TA's V-MAX 150?
