You got any numbers yet Charlie? Curious to see how ur boat runs with the 175. I've got a few hours on mine now so I'm gunna take her swimming this week and play with the setup some.

The best I've gotten out of it so far with a full load and two people is 68 at 5700 - 5800 RPMs. I went out by myself on Sunday, but the water was way too rough because of excessive boat traffic. I'm going to try and go back later this week to see what she will do now that I have 10 hours on the engine.

I'm curious as well. He speeds could be possible my ZX190/175hpdi did 65 a few times with two aboard medium load but low fuel. Not sure how much stronger the 175 ProXS is over my HPDI but most likely the hull on his 618 is probably a few MPH faster than my ZX was.

All right, the next time I get a chance to use the boat, I'll get some pics of the GPS for you guys.

I also heard somewhere else on this site the 175 Pro XS is actually putting out 192 hp at the prop. I don't know what the HPDI actually puts out, but I believe it is a little less.

Charlie; I would not worry about all those nonbelievers they just do not have any idea how well a Phoenix will run no matter what model.

I like phoenix but I would like to see pics of GPS speed. Someone could say my boat runs 65 but really runs 61. I would guess alot of guys on here lie about their speeds. 68 is awesome if its verified. If its true it changes my wants in a certain model. No offense intended.

We're talking about a 1500lb hull give or take. Either that is one strong Merc or Phoenix built one fast hull. His boat will surely do well over 70 in pristine cool conditons with just him. We've heard of a few BC Sabres reaching 70 with 175's but we're talking 300lb lighter hull.

I'm boatless at the moment and trying to gather as much info as possible on the 618 Pro and honest GPS speeds would be helpful.

PS. Are the trailers made by EZ Loader?

    Re: (mcherry)

I think its the other way around. I think the 175 HPDI pulls more ponies than the 175 proxs. The Yammie certainly out torques the Merc.

192 hp??? A "pro xs" sticker will put you all over that "10%" hp limit just as much as a VMAX and HO sticker will

My Bee Line is 64 with a 150, 68 doesn't sound far fetched with the 175.
