Can your dealer lower the motor by changing which bolt holes they are using?

They need to unbolt the motor from the JP and move the motor down on the JP.
You want the usable range to be 5" below pad to 1" above pad.
Right now, you usable range is 3" below to 3" above.

They did this when I got my Bobs plate. As soon as I saw it I made them redo it and lower the motor on the Jackplate. No use in going 3" above the pad... well... maybe it would look cool sitting at the ramp.![]()

i was wandering if the lower the motor would this take alot of chine walk out of the boat but would it slow the boat down i know that a fury prop like to run deeper
Trimmed up too much ..... What the heck is 2 mph ? I can get 61 if I almost loose control ...... I'm happy with a 59 trim.

Life is kinda hard but it's

I totally agree! You have to learn how to control the walk. Here are a few things to consider:
The engine's goal is to try and to get the rig out of the water where there is less resistance.
When at WOT with the perfect set-up, you are balancing the chines/primary pads/back of the boat on what small amount of the lower unit is actually in the water (basically from the cavitation plate down). This is what makes it tip slightly from side to side and can get incrementally worse unless you do something about it.
If you are watching the nose of the boat to judge your reaction to the chine walk you are "reacting" and will always have a problem dealing with it (trimming down a little is the best way, of course).
You have to learn to "feel" the balance of the rig (in your seat). This will help you be "proactive" in dealing with the imbalance (chine walk). This takes practice but is not really that hard to learn.
Keep in mind that the prop is turning clockwise, so everything is wanting to tip/turn to the right, so you are going to have to learn to counteract that by making very slight tweaks with the steering wheel (almost always to the left).
I deal with chine walk all the time. Most of the time I'm really good at it, but the rest of the time I have to work through it - no big deal.
just got back with boat motor on second hole on jack plate how many holes do i need to lower it i can only lower it one hole if i go down it will raise it
