he's got you there Gary, unless you decide to swap out your 250 for a 300xs then you can say your king of the hill![]()
Eh id just have Simmons build my engine. It would still say 250 on it but....![]()

ya but now were not talkin about 8" anymore,
but considering the money your gonna spend @ Simmons, it's still gonna be 8"'too short, soo If I was wanting to go faster, I would just buy an Allison, put the 300xs on that, and call it a day.![]()

Or buy something other then a bass boat!![]()

the Z8 is a fantastic boat, with a 250pro xs it is a no brainer,
the Z9 has a few more bells and whistles but in the end it really is preference,
both are great boats, if either one of them could fit in my garage, I would have to figure out a way to get my chief financial officer to approve the purchase,
I just hope that by the time I buy a new house with a bigger garage, and buy my wife a new Lexus, (LOL) I hope Nitro doesn't start pricing the Z8 out of reach of most middleclass weekend anglers. I fear the same will happen with Z8 as did the Z7 by reducing hp ratings to make you step up to the Z9.
If money was not an issue, you could have alot of other boats to consider.![]()
In all honesty i think ALL the boat manufactures are out of there minds with how much they charge for these boats.... Tracker/Nitro included! Same goes for the engines only its worse! I honestly just don't understand why they cost so much other then the obvious "because they can"![]()

The best part of it if you really want to start scratching your head, I am looking at the z8, if I put either a 225 or 250, with the same options the Z9 is the cheaper boat.
i had BPS price them out for me last night. The Z9 is a sweet rig, but it won't be a tournament boat so it has more bells and whistles than I need. Not to mention the extra lenght means I would have to figure out where to keep it stored.
