I think too many people get excited and confused about the term "Pro Staff". Let me help you a little. The Pro in Pro Staff stands for PROMOTION, not PROFESSIONAL. Pro Staff members generally are associated with a dealer and helps the dealer at boat shows and dealer events. As part of that deal, the staffer may get a little discount on his boat and some clothing. Too many guys readily opine that they are "sponsored" when in reality, they receive no money but may receive discounts on accessories and oil and such. Very few guys receive free product (reels, rods, electronics, etc) however, they do get a nice discount. Now that's the truth of the matter.

I just thought the "Pro Staff" was the guy who used the "Dealer DEMO" Boat for 2 years before the dealer sells it as new with full motor warranty.

Of course then they are offering a "massive discount" of like $5000 over the price of new. And assures you the warranty is a Full 5 years, even though Mercury states warranty starts the date of purchase or the date the motor is placed into service, whichever comes first.
