Called both marine mechanics in the area and they are booked solid until after the holiday. Looks like I'll be filling up after every trip, just in case.
This gauge or sending issue has me scratching my head. I knew when buying the boat that the speedometer didn't work. I noticed tonight that the dash lights work, expect for the one on the rpm gauge.
think I will let the mechanic deal with this as it seems to be over my head.

If there is room, try putting 5 gallons of gas or so in the tank and see if the gauge moves or the voltage changes.

Should have just below 1/2 a tank. It's a 22 gallon tank. I will add fuel when I take it out this weekend again.
I'm hoping the sender isn't bad. The access hole is almost 3 inches over from the unit. Is it possible the gas tank could have shift over the years?
Bilge and aerator on the livewell stopped working at the lake today. I removed the fuses and put them back in the fuse block. Both started operating again. Wondering if I have some type of wiring issue since the gas gauge still isn't working.
