Hammer Rods are actually made in Arkansas! Good call on giving them a look, they're worth it. As many folks as we get looking at other similar priced rods at the shop, it's impressive to see how many pick a Hammer.

I agree that the lifetime warranty on rods isn't a great idea, one to three years seems reasonable. People tend to take better care of their stuff when they know they have to...

I have never worried about a warranty on a fishing rod. I've never broken a rod, doubt I ever will break one. I know I sure wouldn't pay any extra for a warranty.

St. Croix..........sent two in last year at the same time. $15 to ship them and $20 to get them back. They replaced one I broke on a fish in a brush pile and the other needed a new guide. As long as I get that kind of service I won't buy another kind of rod!!!!

Seriously look at ALX made in South Carolina, a lot of value and performance for the money. I buy based on sensitivity, balance, feel not warranty. In 20 years of fishing I've broke 1 rod and it was from nicking the blank on a rough boat ride on the Potomac river, tossed it and bought a new one not a warranty problem. ALX is one of our sponsors on here also, give them a call and discuss what your looking for.

I have several Kistlers and I don't even know what their warranty is, I have never broken 1. Other brands, yes I have broke them.
