All work and no play....Sucks
Many years ago I was in a tournament and Al linder was the MC, the night before there was a dinner and a rules meeting, Al was mingling with the crowd and a buddy of mine gave me a wink and walked up to Al,"I've seen you before, your on TV!, your Virgil Ward!"the whole crowd erupted,Al turned red and stomped off, he didn't find it funny.
Way cool, its even cooler that you didnt ask him to pose with you for a pic and allowed him to enjoy the evening of not "being a celeb" if you know what I mean.![]()

I got my 5.
That is really cool. I have always liked watching him on tv and I really enjoyed his book.
Al Lindner would be neat person to meet up with. I've always enjoyed his fishing show and his down to Earth personality.

Terry, Did you suggest to him that he should come out here and film a show at one of our local puddles? I have always wanted to see a pro try to fish one of our little lakes after years of running lakes with current, creek arms, locks and dams, boat docks......basically all of the things we DON'T have around here.
What's even weirder is clicking on your post and seeing what I believe to be is one of the guys from my fishing club in NorCal in the pic.![]()
