Its the people that call themselves fishermen but do nothing to "find" fish. To me finding fish is part of the game. You can take a pro or a rookie, if you put him in a spot full of fish odds are they will both catch fish. That to me is not a true fisherman. Whats bad is I know many people like that. They will pound you like the IRS asking about your trip. And have no problem sharing that information with anyone. That really gets to me. I understand passing along some info to your good friends, but its when people go on sportsman and continually post questions "Where is the fish, what are they biting on, what color," etc. and then they always throw in "oh its not for me I'm bringing my dad or my 6 year old". There are just to many lurkers and lazy fishermen just wanting on that info. Its a shame, but its just how it is.

Amen. It's one thing to exchange info with someone for a starting point but you still have to put in the work to establish a pattern and see for your self if whatever info you got holds true. If you phone scout and rely on that with no back up plan you will get your butt kicked more times than not. Establishing a pattern and finding fish is 60% of the fun. I'm not against research which includes gathering some info but you still have to put time in to make it work most of the time.

    You nailed it.

That's the main reason we never talk about fishing on here and we fish alot more than people think. Gotta keep them guessing. Gas is too expensive to be scouting for the entire state of La.
