Re: Milford Lake out of Junction City, KS to host 2008 Federati ... (Champer196)

I'll still fish it. A nice day fishing Milford is still better than paddling around the little mudholes here in NE. Yes, I will catch more fish here, but what's the fun in spending the day on 100 acres? Besides, where else can you catch 8-10 different spieces on a crankbait in a weekend? I've never seen such aggressive channels and flatties when it comes to crankbaits.

I guess i am the only one, but i think it is great that the tournament is coming to Kansas. yah the fishin may suck and since i may get to fish the tournament. it may favor the person from Kansas that is fishing nationals. everyone always says that local knowledge plays a big role in Tournaments. If this is a tough one the local guy should come out on top. and on top i mean the BAssmaster classic.

That is the one good thing about it and a very good point you bring up, but I'm still suprised they chose it, with the way the fishing has been. That's a lot of boats on a lake that's not giving up a lot of keepers right now. The venue itself is good, as far as ramps, camping, lodging etc... so I'm sure that plays a big part, but Christ there oughta be some fish to catch, too.
