Drinking on the water is illegal, whether driving or riding. Out-of-state boaters find out quite often that it is so.

Re: Help With our Collegiate Club (b*******45)

I mean really guys are we going to bash someone over grammar when they are in need of help?? Didn’t know that when you typed things on BBC it was for an essay contest or for a grade. But, that being said I do agree that it is a little late to try and get this accomplished I guess maybe you can call a few dealerships around the area and see if they would be willing to rent you a boat, or even the marina's. Please explain your situation to them you'll never know if you do not ask. Secondly you defiantly need to talk with Mike or Wade hopefully they can help you out I don’t know and it also may be an issue about having another individual in the boat such as a driver, I may be wrong but I am not sure if they would allow them to drive you around, possible against the rules in this one. I will talk to a few people that I know see if anyone would be interested pending that Mike or Wade says that it would be fine but, I can not make any promises as far as finding you someone most people already have things planned out and are fishing tournaments themselves.

If I give gas money to the boater after a tournament, then does he have to be a certified captain. Is it not the same thing?

Section 2101 of title 46 (5a) defines “consideration” as an economic benefit, inducement, right, or profit including pecuniary (fancy attorney word for money) payment accruing to an individual, person, or entity, but not including a voluntary sharing of the actual expenses of the voyage, by monetary contribution or donation of fuel, food, beverage, or other supplies.” Additionally, employees or business clients that have not contributed for their carriage, and are carried for morale or entertainment purposes, are not considered as an exchange of consideration.

    Obviously not
