Anybody else ready for duck season?

T Dub I used to hunt all around your area when I lived in LC and Maryville. It was spotty at best if I remember right. Used to kill a few geese on Tellico or upper end of watts bar but that was hit or miss. We used to have an awesome farm that we hunted in the back of praters flats but the original owner died and his daughter put a stop to that. Good luck this year, if I come in any time soon we should link up and go fishing. My mom lives on Loudon about 2 miles up from the dam.

Dad and his crew are workin on some leases in Mississippi for this season (got tired of not killin ducks) I'll be out here on Tellico staring at the sky most weekends - give me a shout if you happen to come into town and have time to waste, lol.

How'd the early season hunters do? We only killed 7 woodies Saturday and went dove hunting in the evening.

I've been ready since the last day of season.....getting even worse as I have been watching the greatest duck hunting tv show ever for the past two months....if you haven't seen Benelli presents Duck Commander on the Outdoor Channel, you best look it up! Great show!

I hunt western Ky, on KY and Barkley Lakes and the Ballard WMA.

I also hunt southeast Missouri, around Dexter on private ground, and also hunt public land at Otter Slough and Duck Creek. Missouri is WAY better than Ky when it comes to duck hunting!

I got my blind permits earlier this week, and wood duck/teal season opened today, but I can't go until Saturday due to work......

Also been working with my father-in-law on his duck call production list. He's getting ready to crank out a few new ones here soon!
