go with the 2lb foam thats what is normaly used unless for structual purposes
Thanks sandbar..
this will save you some internet time. us composites is the best place to get all your resin, i think great lakes skipper has good prices on 1708 (fiberglass mat). their variety is huge! dont get 1/2" chop strand get 1/4" i used fine wood dust to make peanut butter but they sell stuff called cabosil. it takes AlOT of time and money to do what your planning, ive spent 1400 alone on the floor, stringers and gelcoat and im probably going to run short on gel. get 6-8 gallons of resin. good luck! check out my post "93 stratos restore"
I figured Im going to get Most of the supplys for US composites just to save on shipping, actually may make money going there, I can deliver alum boat trailers down that way and swing by and pick it up. Thanks for telling me about useing 1/4inch strands cause I was going to use 1/2 strands and cabilsil(sp?).
cant go wrong with us composites. great place to do business with![]()

yeap pretty close..
I have mulch to mulch my yard now...
Double check about the ability to pick supplies up directly from US Composites. I think they have a non-compete with another supplier in the palm beach area. http://www.uscomposites.com/cinfo.htm I was trying to do the same thing when I bought my glass and gelcoat and they wouldnt sell from their location.Would only ship and that wasnt cheap.
