Misconception Abounds
So, I've put my rig on the market and get a response from what appeared to be a prospective buyer. It amazes me how much credence one puts in 1 individual. I've been around the block here in the metro Phoenix area and have found MANY people in the marine business that are completely clueless. It never siezes to amaze me. Here's an example of it:
"Hey, I wanted to let you know that my mechanic has talked me out of looking at or buying your boat. I trust him 100% and so I am going to listen to his advice. I was really excited to see the boat to!! He just explained to me how the viper cobra has problems but more importantly how crapy the Evinrude are. He is anit Evinrude. I know first hand of 3 people who have "burned up" their Evinrudes and he even knows a guy that burnt up 3 in one month. Based on his advice I have to get a Mercury or Yamaha. I cant believe Evinrude is even in business still. They have filed for bankrupcy twice. Anyway, I am bummed because I thought your boat was the one but I am going to pass. If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
