Do you take them off when you boat to your next fishing spot?

Never leave them on when towing. I don't have the latest and greatest but my usual drive is 45min -1hr each way and Michigan roads being what they are, I see no reason to risk beating up the electronics.

Mine stay on. Ain’t going anywhere where I would think I need to remove. If that’s ever the case I can remove them.

Remove mine, easy with the HD Ram mounts. Store them in the electronics locker.

Tow with mine on. What a pain to remove and replace each day. Plus it’s unnecessary wear on the connections. Never an issue, plus the road is waaaay smoother than the lake ride.

Mine stay on most of my trips are under a hour away and most lakes are 30 minutes or less plus the boat goes in the garage as soon as I get home so I don’t see a reason to take them off.

I always leave mine on unless 2 or more hours away and staying the night, then remove them at night. Other than that, they are on and ready to fish 24/7.

I tow with them on, but always have a cover on the boat when towing.

I never backlash, but each time I go fishing I practice fixing them, just in case I ever do really backlash.

Garmin EchoMaps have the cradle mount. Takes two minutes to remove and stow them in a Pelican case in the truck.

Yep. I pull out of my garage, drive to lake, fish, drive back to garage and electronics are fine. Years ago when parked outside under a cover, electronics went inside.

Towing locally no. If over 5 hours to destination where I know I'm going to be making stops where I won't have eyes on the boat I'll pull the Garmins out of the cradles. Put them on when heading to the ramp and pull them off again when parking overnight

I have a custom cover that I always use. I store boat under car port.
But on a trip I have my tarp on both ways out of sight out of mind.
Electronics and rods are on the deck. Not to mention you don’t have to get in a boat covered in dew.
But I never stay in hotels only abnb.

Boat is carport kept in a pretty safe country neighborhood but still only have my front graphs on when at the lake. Console graph is flush mounted so no choice there but good luck getting it out of the dash in a timely manner. Even I've forgotten the details on how I did it

Is that small spot with someone already on it really worth finding out the hard way they don't like company? Keep it a mystery and go somewhere else.
