I would love to see an Elite tournament on the Ohio river just to see if it's as bad as people say it is.

Look at past results from winners' Larry Nixon, KVD and George Cochoran. It is as bad

Is late July typically a tough time to fish the Ohio or actually a “good” because it’s after any spring flooding is over?

I am in no way a “pro” level fisherman but, that river is the toughest place I’ve ever fished. I mean I fished a couple BASS Top 8 tournaments there and I don’t think it took more than 8 pounds to win both of them. I remember in one of them I watched a guy fishing in a separate club tournament catch a four pound fish and he won his derby. There’s a few state Federation guys that do consistently good fishing the Ohio but they don’t set the world on fire.

If they go out of Paducah it can be good below the dams.

If they were smart, the top 10 would fish the Angelina south of Rayburn.

I would love to see them fish the Ohio River out of Louisville or Cincy. Allow locking as they please.

Arkansas river out of Little Rock is always a fun watch too.

Alabama river out of Montgomery is also always a fun one too.

Didn't they have an alabama river tournament a few years ago and guys were getting beached up on big rocks? That was good watching.

The wolf and fox rivers in the winnebago system here in wisconsin are pretty good. The elites need to come to winnebago sometime, fishing is good and the weights are getting better.

I really want to see a west swing again, didn't they schedule the delta and the columbia river that year and revised it around the same time as the bpt split? I feel these tourney orgs need to get the west coast involved again as I feel that demographic is on an island so to speak.

The pros are too poor to afford the gas to make a west coast swing (while they all have lifted new trucks and boats with 50K in electronics ). Last time the Columbia river was scheduled you have most of the pros quit for MLF and the remaining guys threatened to riot lol. You would have endless whining and complaining, until they fished the Columbia and saw what an incredible and diverse fishery it is. Guys could win fishing either largemouth or smallmouth, and it'd take 20+ a day.

The west coast guys don't mind trekking all over the country but the eastern and midwestern guys throw a fit if they have to go west of Dallas.

It's funny when guys rag on the west coast for poor Toyota series turnouts. They have zero idea that Clear Lake is 12 hours from Lake Havasu, and if you happen to qualify for a championship you are looking at a 40ish hour drive back east. It's amazing they got the turnout that they did
