The cw ch shows the Reds games on Tuesdays. The game is in rain delay tonight. And they just showed Pete being inducted into the Reds hall of fame in 2016. That was an awesome speech.

Pete and Willie Mays were my idols in baseball while growing up and couldn't wait to get the newspaper to see how each did.
It's sad that the only reason today for me to watch baseball is to help me fall asleep.

Like watching the grass grow or FFS fishing.
As for Pete Rose Never liked him to begin with records or not, he still broke the no gambling rule.

I agree. Charlie Hustle was what baseball was all about. He deserves a place in the HOF.

He was never the best player on any team he played on.

The HOF is Full of those.
If professionals who's careers depend on catching fish use FFS then that's what I'm using. Might be too simple of a philosophy but makes sense to me.

That’s how I feel. Slap in face. I hate baseball more and more everyday. Was my favorite sport for 40 years. I don’t even turn it on anymore

Maybe, but then there's a LOT of players that need an asterisk after their name for various reasons.

At least Pete Rose got his stats without PED's. Betting on baseball didn't improve his hitting ability or make him put forth more effort.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

Doubt that will happen since his kids have been meeting with the Commissioner trying to get his Permanent Ban lifted which was the same as Jackson’s and didn’t end with their passing.

Trump got involved and also met with the Commissioner on his behalf. Suspect the Commissioners Decision has more to do with making sure there aren’t any future visa problems for Latin American Players traveling to the states.

Agreed, but did hear that the family requested it not sure its true. If it is I hope they keep all the sales rights.

On the field is one thing HOF is about nothing more or less.

A lot of people talk about his records. Well, I look at it another way, it's not just a matter about who let in, it's also about who you keep out.
Yes, he only bet on the Reds and only to win BUT you have got to draw a line somewhere and it should apply to all players, not just scrubs.

And you guys thought that FFS was controversial!
"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments
