    Mercury might finally become a viable option for a 4 stroke. I wonder what the cost will be.

    Mercury leads the market in north american freshwater applications, especially on the v6+ platforms...thus I would say they are very much already a viable option.

    They are also taking market share in the US saltwater market as well and making sizable gains in that market, especially at the big boat shows like Miami, Ft Lauderdale, etc.

    So……does flashing an outboard beyond the capacity plate’s maximum h.p. Have an effect on insurance and legality or do you just not tell your insurance company?
