    I’ve gotten in the habit of making two or three fast cranks with a jig before reeling it in, because of this very thing. Add in FFS where you can see fish tailing the jig, and it makes it even more effective. I’ve caught a lot of bass that followed a jig for a long ways being drug on bottom that when I made it jump they jumped all over it
