Corrosion and bad connection's are bad for any battery connection, next loose connection's, all will definitely result bad. On my Ionic connection's and terminal's are clean and tight, never had issue's. I use star lock washer's on my connection's as they seem to contact very well. When replacing a lead acid or AGM it's best to be sure the wire terminal's are really clean of corrosion or contamination. That is really important. Solid connection's for the battery cable's and trolling motor batterie's are priority to eliminate issue's. Ionic is the deal.
