I am shocked by the wide range in prices. I would think they all would be relatively the same.

Not all Lithium batteries are equal. Some use Grade A cells and some use Grade B cells. There are other differences also. If you plan to go lithium, you need to do your research. Cheaper batteries may actually not be a wise investment, but also the more expensive batteries may not be a wise investment either. You just have to do your research.

Any recommendations based on your research? I’ve been researching lithium for for quite some time now. And have asked the same question about “what’s inside the case” on here a number of time without a definitive answer. I never mind paying for quality, but I want what pay for. I’m just curious how the various brands are assembled. Long warranties are great and all, but crack open a few battery cases and let’s see what’s inside. Personally, I like to look under the hood.

MillerTech... call Dean at technical support and he will discuss with you what your daily load is and if you 'really' need 3 100AHs. Sounds heavy to me honestly... i have 3 60AHs batteries and i can easily go 2 tournament days with no charge.... save yourself some money and go with a lower amp output.

    Talk to Dean dean@mtechlithium.com

I checked out a number of batteries, and ended up buying a couple directly from a manufacturer in China. This was partly due to dimensions. They put together a 36v 100ah that would fit in my console, and the 12v 120ah is group 31 size. Both batteries have Tesla grade A cells, and only weigh 90lbs combined. Total cost for both was $2100. I’ve tested the performance of both a couple of times, both were over their rated capacity.

Only time will tell if they were a good purchase or not. So far they perform great.

Not going to endorse any brand, but I will say the connections are not the same amongst brand. I personally do not like dealing with terminal type M6. Threaded post with nut is easier to set up when dealing with a cramped bilge area.

I think I'm going to order a couple of the Ionic 12v 125 for my new Ranger 223F I have on order , the batteries are the only thing the dealer left up to me to provide , I'm going with a 24v Ulterra
he's going to install a MK212 PC 2 bank and I will use a 1 bank separate charger for main battery because it's in the rear of boat and really probably won't need much charging anyway . These lithium are over $1,000.00 each but the Batterys Plus AGM's are around $400.00 each so I'm thinking it may be worth the difference in original price .

those 125ah will be awesome, you should never kill them even in a couple of full days , you may want to have your dealer step up the charger to a mk220pc or a mk230pc, the 212 will do the job but 6amps will take a long tome to charge a 125ah
also the new MK220PCL and MK230PCL will be available soon those are optimized for lithium
either way you will be fine, let me know if I can assist on the batteries
