Tuna Steaks.pngNot quite as good as being there, but we brought a soft-sided cooler as one piece of luggage and enjoyed these last night.

When you go back, take a day to fish for Peacocks in Gatun Lake. You’ll likely not find fish as large as you did in the Amazon....but the sheer numbers you can catch are incredible. Was stationed in Panama twice.....fished every weekend that I wasn’t deployed elsewhere.

We just locked in our dates for later this year -- November 6 to 12, 2021. The tuna should still be rocking, and it's prime time for both marlin and inshore species like roosterfish and cubera.
It's not inexpensive, but worth every penny. You'll become obsessed like I am.

Once any bass angler experiences a wide open offshore bite...bass fishing immediately becomes much less significant. It's just never the same.
A school of 1-3lb bass chasing shad pales in comparison to a good foamer of 30-100lb YFT.

I got into a school of bull reds out of Cocodrie, Louisiana once and it was insane!! It was right at sunrise so the sun coming up glowing against them busting the surface was the coolest color of dark copper/bronze...it was really cool! The second the bait hit the water, it was on.
