Wife had to have one, we bought it, she drove it a few weeks and after that she usually just drove her company car. It was not a comfortable daily driver, took one road trip in and we never did that again. It was a rough riding vehicle, the air vents are in a weird spot and dries your eyes out in winter if heater is on. Fuel economy sucks and we had fit and finish issues.
Only good thing was it held it value big time when we got rid of it after 3 years. It sat in driveway more than it got used. First and only new vehicle we felt that way about. Never again.

I really don't get the fascination either. Forbes magazine had a story on my news feed yesterday of the 30 new cars that should be avoided, and no joke, EVERY new model Jeep was on the list...Cherokee, Wrangler, Patriot, Compass, ect...every model. Some of the worst reliability of any new car across the line. Really strange that they seem to be getting more popular??

My son who lives in Utah has a 2017 Rubicon Hard Rock Editon Jeep as an extra vehicle and enjoys off roading in Moab.

I have ridden in it and wouldn't mind having one if I didn't already have a Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4.

Jeeps are no where here except for the few and hardly ever see one. May be some down on the coast i would think. Not good for much of nothing except .....i am sure they are useful for something somewhere.

That being said their front ends suck until you beef them up they have their quirks like any other vehicle. But like was stated above the 4 doors are not a true jeep in my book either. Just depends on what you want. Ive used them for daily drivers for years but now use my tundra for that and my jeep is a hunting and 4 wheeling rig now.
They haven’t been a true Jeep since the last CJ
in my opinion. Yes they unreliable rough riding and get terrible fuel mileage.
Not much in the way of protection if you get t boned in crash.
Also they are one of the most traded in vehicles .They are just a toy not a every day driver.
If your wanting one to drive every day you will be dissatisfied. Just my 2cents

We have a jeep fest every year, thousands of them, all weekend long.

Very uncomfortable, bad gas mileage, ride rough, no storage. Seems to always need some kind of maintenance. We’ve had 2. Never any more.

I got a 2000 Wrangler. It’s got around 6,000 miles on it. Sits in the garage at the lake house. Great for picking up pizza or tacos.

They are like Harley Davidsons now. Over priced and still unreliable.

My wife wants the new Gladiator truck. I'm waiting to see how reliable and if the ride is better than the 4 door wrangler.

I saw a couple putting a baby in a car seat in a 4 door late model and he had the top off. It can’t be good for that baby, the sun, the noise, the dust, etc... poor kid.

Quite frankly those things are exactly what kids do need.

I rode about 10 miles in one in town on hard surface roads. I was ready to get out of it for the last time.
