    I do I'm wondering if the switch selects a different circuit for the 4/6 and am wondering how the made one handles it? I have not ever use dit to test the Optical jsut time it.

    it should work for a 4 or 6 cylinder. I have never even held the real one, so no idea about the A/B switch.

    The A/B switch on the factory and the CDI tester is to tell the instrument that it is testing either a 6 cyl. or 4 cyl. motor, It has nothing to do with static timing
