    Just found this thread and found it very interesting. Did anyone ever try this? Don mentions he would have to try it on his own engine for a review/testing before advising on this.

    Not that I know of. The Optimax is ancient technology now. I was going to do it also, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze to me.

    Not seen an worthwhile testing. Problem is that filtration size would need to be large enough it would be virtually useless. Any significant filtration would reduce flow resulting in decreased air volume.

    As Savage stated, NEW Optimax Production ceased in 2018 (six years ago now).
