NICE! At least someone is getting out lately...........I haven't been in my boat for over 2 months now, and winter is rapidly approaching. I hope to get out one last time next week - before I winterize her.........

firstfish.jpgTook my boat out for the first time Sat. 11/10/12 just to check it out. Figured since I was out might as well cast a few times. Caught this (respectable) 14.5 inch spot. Can't wait to get back out.

Always nice to put the first fish in the boat...Way to properly break it in...
Well I hit the lake the other day and graphed a bunch of shad...The water was 84 feet deep and the shad were stacked from 20ft down to the bottom...I dropped a 1/4 ounce Hopkins spoon down and started @ the 84ft mark...I then slowly began working the spoon back up stopping at different intervals trying to locate the bass...At about the 60 foot range I jerked the rod up and my spoon got absolutely hammered...I originally thought I had my PB LM on but after a minute or so I soon realized I was probably hooked into a catfish...Fought the fish for about 5 minutes or so and then got it into the boat...Turned out it was a flathead...Here is the pic, sorry I was by myself so this is the only one I got:
First picture worthy fish out of the Coral in 2013.

I've started taking pictures of my fish with my girls when they're along. It makes the fish look bigger.

Those grins say it all, good stuff man, good stuff.
3/4 of the Earth's surface is water and 1/4 is land. Clearly god wants me to fish, not mow the lawn.
That's awesome! Congrats on your first fish out of the new boat!!!

Hit Canyon Lake yesterday with a buddy of mine Justin and caught a decent LM that weighed close to 7#...Too bad she was already spawned out...Justin managed a 5+ pounder...Both fish released after some pics...
Mine: (I love the effects of this pic, not sure how my cell phone captured it like that...Check out the shadowing around the rod)

Finally took the new rig on the water for the very first time. My wife makes the very first cast and catches a nice little walleye!!

Later on, my son was fishing for perch and bluegill with just a hook and a worm, then catches this sweet largemouth.

Notice how I'm the only one handling the fish? I guess it goes with the territory!

i'm quickly learning that being on the front of the boat isn't always as good as the back.. last two tournaments my co-angler has taken second! me... way at the bottom of the list.
