Handicap is 8.
I could be lower but my problem is poor course management.

My handicap my clubs! Favorite utility club in my bag is the Poulan chainsaw.
When I was playing regularly I was a scratch. I get to play about 4 times a year now and I am a 4-5.

about 15. At my age I'm glad to be able to play golf and fish.
The game!!! The best wood in my bag is the pencil!!!
On my local course about a 10. Other courses would be a little higher.
I was wondering the same thing, then I remembered that these are fishermen posting these numbers and fishermen....well. I belong to a private country club with close to 500 members. Less than 10% are single digit handicappers. My senior group of about 60 guys who have been playing for 30 or 40 years has 5 guys that are single digit golfers. I average around 14 and there are a lot more above me than below me.
This is an article from Golf Digest magazine:
Q: A friend just broke 100 for the first time. I read that this is something only 20 percent of all golfers ever do. Any truth to that? --Becky Krakowski, Dayton, OhioA: Not true. At least half of all golfers in America have broken 100. On average, 5 percent shoot in the 70s, 20 percent in the 80s and 27 percent in the 90s. The average score in America in 2005 was 98.3. So breaking 100 is, well, pretty average. It's a significant milestone (especially if you do it under U.S. Open conditions--see the Golf Digest U.S. Open Challenge).
We'll our club match play is starting and I'm getting to play to a 3. This is the first year I haven't played as scratch or a 1. Unfortunately , I've been playing like a 7 or 8.

12.8 but I have only been serious about playing for 10 months now and have a long long way to go.
Finished a 9 this year...if I fished less I would be lower, but more irritable!
