    Evinrude E-tec Water Pressure Nmea 2000

    Has anyone been able to get water pressure data to read on their Garmin unit? I purchased the NMEA2000 water pressure kit for my Evinrude e-tec 250. I have not been able to get the boat on the water so I ran it with muffs in the garage. I can not get any readings on the coolant pressure which I would assume is the water pressure gauge. I spoke with Garmin customer service and they said it should be working based on png numbers. I wonder if I just need water pressure higher to get it to start reading. Any ideas?

    Did you have the dealer enable the sensor with the Evinrude diagnostic software? Its not exactly a plug and play setup.

    I did ask dealer about it and he seemed to think it was plug and play. I will try and find a dealer who can enable it. Thanks

    I couldn't get water pressure on my new electric style gauge on muffs, but once on the water it worked
