Just wondering if anyone fished the bfl this weekend. My fishing buddy fished the non boater side and took 4th place, was pretty awsome.

I fished it as a non boater and blanked, seemed that either you where around them or not. One co angler had 24lbs , had fun my partner managed one good fish that was it. Water temps still in the high 40's then wrmed up by wiegh in to 51.
ya, i seen that the winning non boater had more then the winning boater, thats pretty cool.
My buddy said all of his fish were caught by around 9:30 or so, about when the wind changed directions then his bite was over. I was crappie fishing at Lee's resort near blue bluff that morning, never have I seen so many people going up Elk River at one time![]()
what did it take to win it pro side????
Chuck a little over 20lbs Jason Christie won it.
Any idea what they were using, how deep, and what area of the lake?
Thanks

Although another friend of mine was down there the weekend before and caught a 7lbs 11oz bass on a crank bait. said they ended up catching 16 fish, 8 keepers along with that big one. All in water from 6 to 10/12 feet deep.
here is a link to the tourney results. http://bfl.flwoutdoors.com/tou...=5736
