Seems like a lot of anglers for not having enough just a few months ago.

I thought the same thing. I heard next year there won't be any regionals. SQT's will be first line.

Re: Ohio Bass Federation Championship (Skeeter ZX-190)

My question is why doesn't the Ohio TBF reduce its Regions?? What is there 6 or 7 of them.. Look at some the RQT results and you will see some Regions are fishing the same lakes at the same time as other regions.. Than neither Region is has very many boats at the event.. Why not consolidate the Regions to make the numbers like they used to be @ RQT and SQT's..

Its a known fact that both the Ohio FLW (TBF) & BASS (OBFN) have both taken a pretty good hit on membership over the last couple years.. Wether it is due to the way they are run, the format or the economy or all the above.. So time to make some changes and make it worth fishing again.. Who truly wants to go a TBF RQT for a 2 day event (all RQT, SQT & Classic are 2 days) and not have very little to no purse to win after paying your entry and expenses?? This because the TBF does not have the $$ to put in the payouts.. Typically the only money to win is a side pot the anglers put together and it is peanuts..

It is my understanding, I may be wrong, that every Region Director and his crew for say the RQT's have their expenses covered for these events.. Think of the savings right there alone that can get put back in the payouts..

Times have changed and we need to as well.. I used to enjoy fishing them, TBF, until it made no financial sense and moreless if you showed up you got to move to the next level cause they needed boats..

    Just my 2 cents..

Sure sounds better to fish than the OBFN to me.

Re: Ohio Bass Federation Championship (Phil Carver)

Does anyone know what the winning weight was? It isn't posted on the federation website yet. I was on a road job this week and seen all the boats parked at the Super 8. If any of yall seen a couple guys in a power truck scopin all the boats we weren't lookin to steal anything were just jealous that yall would be fishin and we would be workin

That's cool. We stayed at the Quality Inn beside the Speedway gas station. I used to fish that pool frequently before my new job and the move. Congrats on your buds from your club
