You guys seem like seasoned veterans, at least around here. Gots a question...
Supposed to head down to Lake Cumberland next Thursday for a long, extended weekend. Lake level is 21' above what they now keep it at (due to dam work), and not sure re: amount of debris or muddy water. Should I scrap that plan and head to Dale Hollow instead? What would you do?

If it were me I'd head for Dale Hollow. Read some fishing reports saying it was on fire... Dan
Thanks for the link. I've fished dale before, just always had a cold front blow thru while there - weather's fault, not the lake's, but am somewhat superstitious, LOL.
You been to Dale before? Where do you stay? We use to rent a lodge room at Star Point, that seems the closest to Cincinnati, getting you close to mid-lake.
Dale is only 2+' above normal pool for March...decisions, decisions.
I agree with Dan I would chose the hollow. Only been ther 1 time and stayed at Star Point so I cant help you on where to stay.

We always go to Dale Hollow State Park. Depending on the weather, we either stay at the campground or get a room at the lodge.... Dan

I was driving by the river for several miles yesterday morning. This pool is up 19 feet, and there were logs the size of my truck floating...but, the barges were still running, so we can do it.![]()
If we can survive to find a big ole' eddy we well be in business.

Not sure about now but I was at Dale Hollow three weeks ago and it was GREAT! Two boats and three days we caught 104 fish
nevermind I dont think I want you driving!
Normal pool level at Cincy is about 28' so it will only be up 17.5' since now it is projected to hit 45.5'. Who wants to fish the parking lot at Tanners?
