    Spinnerbait ball beating swivel

What’s the best quality swivel out there for spinnerbaits? Are you guys buying them with split rings attached?

Best for the money is no doubt the Worth CO american made swivel sold at most tackle making suppliers.... The best is Sampo, But not worth the price difference. You can get them w/o split rings, But not worth the aggravation to add yourself...

I'm a Worth guy myself, no better swivel and while Sampo is still the best the difference between them and Worth is very small if any. I order my swivels direct from Worth and I order the swivels with no split rings in a 1000 count. I also order the #2.5 fine split ring they use for the swivels, I order 2000 of those and then I put the rings on while watching TV. The price difference is huge, when I buy the swivels and rings separate plus the tax it comes to $312.62 and then $12.00 shipping it is $324.62. If I buy them with the rings attached plus the FET tax and shipping the price is $599.18, it isn't that hard to put them on and saving $275 is nothing to sneeze at.

I also buy direct by the 1000, and I feel the $0.27 each is not worth the work... I guess your time is less valuable than mine.

Yes you can, you’ll pay the 10% Federal excise tax.

Not sure I've been buying from them for over 20 years without one. Most things they sell by the 1000 count.

I put them together while watching TV so not really taking up much time. I also don't have the kind of income where I can just throw away $200+ for taking an hour to add the rings.

Sorry if I came off as ragging. Not my intent.

They are the Worth 2.5 fine wire rings, they go on surprisingly fast. Perhaps I should have said "an hour or so" as it is probably longer but not much. I also know it was meant in jest so no harm or foul. We all have our priorities and even if I had the income that I could afford to pay the extra, I don't know if I could do knowing that I could save more than $200 by doing it myself. That is a hard amount to just let go but I do understand your point also, I will by pre made wire weed guards instead of making them myself because the amount of time it take to cut and bend each one.

I have done it with the 2.5 light wire split rings. That’s why I know how much work it is. My old eyes just trying to hit the hole would drive me crazy.

If I still sold my baits, I would just charge $.25 more :-).
