Dont' know the lucky man that nabbed ol' Maybell but I got the LKN Mafia update on Saturday on the fish. Boys are catching em cranking rocks, docks, and of course boat ramps as usual with various cranks in shad and craw colors (very common LKN pattern this time of year).

I bet if he caught her on 6 or 8lb line (another staple on Norman this time of year is light line) on a shad rap or some other little do dad crank bait he had his hands full for quite a while. What a fish!

Pre spawn bite is on and the fish on the lower end are chewing like crazy. What a Spring season LKN is going to have with the blue back and the mild winter. Took 18lbs to lead on Saturday's fish off with a 17lb sack in close 2nd place going in to Sunday's final. Am told by the local bass mafia that the AL rig was not a factor for the larger bags.
