I need a 4WD tranny (W56a or W56B) for a 86-88 Toyota 4runner or truck.
I have found a couple in junk yards but they are wanting about 75% of what a new on costs and they have 150k miles on them.

There is a place on Wilmington st. It is called spanish garage. They are a client of mine. I will stop by and see if he can get one and how much.
Man that would be sweet!!! It has to be out of a 4wd from 86-89 4 banger (some 89's had a V6 which will not work). The 2wd model fits but there is no linkage to the transfer case to put in it 4wd.
Did you also try Martin's out near Zebulon? There is another part yard between Wendell and Zebulon, but I can't think of the name.

As for price---Most of the Toyota stuf has gone way up in price. Try buying one of the 4 cylinder motors
Call Martins Salvage Yard on Poole road in raleigh and ask for Junior. he owns it. Tell him Ronnie from The Bumper Place sent you!
