To get right down to the point looking to compare insurance companies for possible change. I have at the present time State Farm for a truck, SUV, and boat/motor. Any suggestions of which ins.company to check with 1rs for good coverage to compare?

Check with Bob at Worldwide Marine for your boat. He is a board sponsor.
Thanks Rodney I was just there and found his thread. I will check with him tomorrow for sure
That's where I got mine.
I have my boat insurance w/ Boat US. They were the same price if not slightly cheaper than the board sponsor and the coverage was more clearly defined. The true test of insurance is when you need it and luckily I have not needed it. A friend of mine had a horror story with State Farm and his boat. His boat slid down I-95 at 70mph and they paid 25K+ to have it rebuilt vs. scrapping it. Car and home I have through metlife and it seems to be pretty reasonable.
Thanks man I have checked several places and found that the company I have is about the same give or take 10-15 + -. With State Farm, the people I have for the boat an all my vehicles, when I have needed them they have been there no problem. Guess I will stay with them.
The agent makes the diff.combined home, auto and boat will in most cases save you money
Having an agent that will go to bat for you makes the diff.

I have my vehicles and house with State Farm and my Triton was with them before I sold it. I've had a couple other boats and a PWC in the last few years and went with Progressive. They were 50% cheaper on my PWC policy than SF would of been and were cheaper on my Triton as well with same coverage. Never filed a claim with them but talking with someone on the phone was painless and they actually spoke fluent english.![]()
My current boat (G3 tunnel hull) is only $125 a year and that policy covers everything except my tackle. That is covering right at $22K.
Might be worth a call.![]()

Boat U.S. may look cheaper but they nickel and dime you to death with other little fees, membership fee, payment fee and such which in the end adds up.
