    Sutton Lake- Wilmington

Any advice for fishing this lake? Going to be going out there a lot, plan on carolina rigging the channels with plastics and throwing rattle traps on ledges...What about jigs around the edges, any luck there?

I use to live in Jacksonville and fished sutton alot. Do yourself a favor and fish it at night in the summer. Temps are cool and fish bite like crazy. Spinner baits worked best for me. Jigs and worms on the ledges will work fine even at night. Good luck.

Will do, thanks....What is the water like down there. I know it is crystal clear, but I am curious for boating reasons. Are you allowed to use an engine? Are there stumps all over?

Stay in the channel, there are stumps everywhere. I was in the channel (13ft of water) and hit a stump. Be careful.
