I have made the timing roller adjustment and the engine still dies in gear coming off idle. I have also done a seafoam treatment. Help me please.

What are your RPM's in neutral and in gear at idle? You running Champion plugs?
About 900 in neutral and 5 to 600 in gear. I adjusted the idle timing up 2 notches and it idles higher in cold start but drops back down. The boat runs very well once off of idle. Yes I am running the champion plugs for this engine. They haven't been in very long and still look good.

That is a normal function of quick start, is the clear roller on the throttle roller on the throttle bodies?
Yes sir the roller is intact. I have seen you suggest to others about vapor canisters or something like that. I would like to start with the inexpensive things and work my way up. If I could ever fix this problem I might try to add a little more power. This is a great engine except for this hiccup.

You may want to verify that the throttle cam is touching the throttle roller (not timing arm roller). And adjust your throttle cable accordingly.
Ok. I will do. When I installed my hot foot I adjusted the cable and probably have it out of whack.

See that a lot with hot foot installations.
