    Hickory fishing

    Went today with fishing bear . High dirty water . Caught 3 one = 6 lbs and
    2 =15 inchers about 1 1/2 lbs each. Fished 10 am to 4 pm

    NICE! The big ones are turning up in Hickory for the Winter bite. That's awesome, congrats.

    Any info to share on the bite today for the guys who don't get up that way?

    Chuck don,t be afraid to throw a big crank bait. Or a 1oz thumper spinnerbait. Remember big baits cull small fish. You aren,t fishing norman style.

    I do know the fish hit a crankbait harder on that lake more than any other place I've fished. When I use to fish it in the summer I only had three rods out.Buzzbait,crankbait and spoon

    We decided to venture out on Saturday on Hickory Cold Windy CLod Cover and made the run from Whittenburg straight to the Dam.We caught 5 all cranking biggest alittle over 5 and the others were solid keepers around 3lbs alot of tail smacking and lost a couple that were in the category of Donkey.Gonna try to hit it again when there is alittle sun popping out next time.

    Mike you may want to try the Damn Landing off Hwy 16 on I-40 to St Peters Church road and hard right into the land Quicker than Withenburg having to go thru Hickory
