I forgot to put the plug back in today. I never take it out. Well took the plug when I cleaned the boat last week and never put it back. Did figure it out at the ramp when I was trying to unbeach the boat and it seemed like it weight 2500 lbs. Well the carpet got extra clean.

If you realize it's out, you can start the bilge pump while you go get your trailer. It will usually get all the water out and keep up with the inflow until you get loaded and can pull out to tighten the plug.

Please don't ask how I know this.

That is exactly what I did. I loaded it and ran the bilge while the water drained. It actually killed some time for me as I was waiting for the fog to clear.

I guess I am one of the fotune it one's has this has never happened. YET. My habit is to take it out everytime so I will remember to put it in everytime. I always do it the day before a trip when I am topping off my batteries. Did you fish at Jordan on Saturday?

Lost the plug in my 392 Ranger on the upper end of Tillery. Did not notice it until the floor was full of water.

Proved that you cannot sink a Ranger

I just ordered one of the Drain Plug Systems for my Stratos. Thanks for the information about the DPS Steve. The end of the old plug is not holding the drain plug when I remove it from the boat so I was going to have to get a new one. 22.95 total cost with shipping.

How about being so jacked up to go fishing in your new boat that you hook the boat up and speed off to the ramp only to remember that you have all of your rods & soft plastics in a closet in the garage because you take them out in the really cold & hot months to store them for line protection..... Yup, done that one....
