I may go to help out. Randleman High is putting it on. I guess that's the one you're talking about.
I guess it is. going to be a good crowd there I bet. Saw a lot of folks lookin around to find the bit Wed. I don't think it will make any difference the weather is going to be totally different Saturday. I got some company coming in for Memorial Day weekend so couldn't fish it if I could find a partner. I'll try next time. Might try to make the weigh-in. I think it will be at or near 2:00pm. I didn't read all the flier in the office window. Probably need to call the lake to find out.
57 boats as of yesterday afternoon. They're going to open the gates to the benefit tournament people early to get them out of the way.
Met the "couch" yesterday, he says there are a lot of anglers wanting to see this done more often, maybe twice a year. It will benefit a new youth outdoors club at the high school.
Anybody know what it took to win yesterday?
I grew up and went to High School in Randleman. Hoping to make it back up there soon to fish the lake since I hear you boys are catching them in good numbers.
mMark it took 21 and change to win

Thanks Gary....![]()
Something like 62 boats. 21.69 was first place and they had the big fish (8.29). Second place had 19.30 and third place had 18.99 pounds. 511.86 pounds were brought to the scales. I also believe 1st place donated their money back to the Randleman High Outdoors Club.![]()
Great I guess that lake will be a popular place to go come Wed morning huh?
Nah, there were only about 60 boats all day yesterday.
i fished that tournament and had a great time. there were alot of boats and some good fish brought in... we didnt even weight in. we had 15+ but had heard there were better limits than that so we kept fishing. i wish they would lift the speed limit for tournaments though because you have some boats running 25mph and others running 65, but it was a good day and i cant wait for the next one.![]()
I think it needs a speed limit due to the size. I just wish they would raise it to 40.
What I hate the most about that place is how too many boaters wait until they have their boat on the ramp to launch, and then decide to untie the straps and remove the motor-toter, oh, and put the cooler in the boat. Then when they come in from fishing, they pull the boat out of the water and up in the gravel then stop to put all of the straps on. They should move farther up the road so others can get to the ramp.
