Got a tournament on Buggs Friday and Saturday. Is the bass in the brush? Or have they moved out? Fishing out of Hibernia landing. Anyone got any good tips for nut bush or little nut bush? Any help would be appreciated.

as for the fishing I haven't been there in a month, but May is usually great for top water

It's going to be busy there this weekend. Henderson Boys & Girls club tournament is also there this weekend. That's usually a big tournament. Kerr is big enough to handle it though. I fished a 335 boat Ranger tournament there years ago and still felt like I had the place to myself.
Yeah we fish the first of May every year there. 4 years now and every year a bunch of tournaments are going on and most of the time the only guys I see down in nutbush is the guys in our 8 team club. Thanks for the info.
anyone know what won the Boy/Scout tournament..Rich and I had a little over 14 pounds yesterday to win the Deep Creek Tournament..

Congratulations on the win. I don't know what won the Boy/Scout. But I hope the Boys don't end up being like a lot of the boaters they fished with. I fished 6 points yesterday and every single point I pulled up on I got ran off of. Not just 1 but all 6. I have never seen so many RUDE people in my life. If the kids hadn't been with them it would have been nasty.
What happen? Did they say something to ya. or just run over top of you when they came up on the point. I would have stayed put and let them go around me if I was catching fish there.
It took over 16lbs to win Boy & Girls Club tourney. A buddy of mine finished 9th with 15+. They had good weights, not sure how many people fished.
No they never said a word just pull up beside us and started fishing. I could have hit everyone of them with a lure they was so close. One boat I could have stepped over on his boat he stopped so close to us. I have never seen nothing like it. I had my pistol on boat and if it wasn't for the kids, It would have come home empty.
For clarification no youths fish in the Boys&Girls club tournament unless they pay their entry fee with an adult boater. The tournament just raises money for the Henderson Boys & Girls club. To be honest I doubt he Boys & Girls club even knows anything about the tournament until the check shows up from the folks who run the tournament. This tournament really has nothing to do with kids, so if people were being a butt to you on the water more than likely the kids in their boats were their kids and they were not fishing the tournament.
I have had the same thing happen to me two times this year on Kerr. Luckly I take my medication in the mornings before I go fishing. Wonder what they are thinking about? I have seen the day when I would have took my boat and ran the hell over them.They just don't have no respect anymore.
The 3 points we fished near Saddle White we got ran off of was indeed from the boy scout tournament. We was near the blast off and watched them leave from the blast off and come straight to use. Those 3 had young men on the boats with them. We went further south found a point that had huge white rocks with a tree growing out of a rock on the point. Was there for 15 maybe 20 minutes. A man and a woman came up and fished right beside us we could have literally stepped into there boat. So I backed off the point and went down the bank.
Maybe I should get me some of those meds.I was fishing with the Christian Bass Anglers and it was really hard to stay a Christian. All I could do is ask the Lord to be with us and not let me loose my cool.
