Swivel Bracket Replacement?

A friend has a 96 Venom 200HP. One of the rollers where the trim piston makes contact has broken off. He didnt know it and the area where the roller is suppose to be is all gouged up. The threads that hold the roller in are bad. I can get him the entire swivel bracket but need to know if it can be replaced without pulling the powerhead? I have a lift in my garage and he has the lifting ring.

I think it would be possible to replace it without removing the powerhead, but sometimes the long way is the easy way in the end, it is a crap job to replace the swivel bracket, not hard, but a crap job, very messy, things want to get in the way, and things don't want to line up again, but as I said, not hard really.

Remove the geacase,steering cable, and then engine from the boat,with it hanging from the hoist,unhook all the wires to the tnt. Remove the 6 motor mt bolts (2 on top,4 on bottom), remove the tilt tube,power tnt top cyl pin,and it's off! Then you will have to swap the steering tiller from the old to the new.

Thanks guys. He has some play in the tilt tube where one of the 2 steering cable goes. I plan to install new ones while its apart. Any special tools required?

If you are talkin about the one that goes where the motor piviots with tnt,then no.

i need to do the same thing on my 03 225 HO... I wonder how hard it is to find another bracket..
