Helix 9 or 10 Dash Mount Question

having a hard time making sense of this dash mount kit

Humminbird 740155-1 IDMK H910R In Dash Mounting Kit

Has anyone used this on a helix 9 or 10? can someone tell me how exactly this works or what it looks like installed? I am clueless on this one.

There are two parts.
The small part is attached to the back of the unit with the gimbal knobs.
The large part goes behind the dash and attaches to two bolts on the small part.
The unit and mount "sandwiches" the dash between them.

Spacing against the back of the dash since the unit itself will be recessed. It will be obvious when you install it.
